DOCTORS ORDERS | THE ASYLUM | END OF SEASON MESSAGE
As the Washington Little Guy Wrestling League (WLGWL) season comes to an end, we can’t help but pridefully look back over our amazing first season as a new club! The Asylum started in the beginning with a dedicated roster of 15 competitive wrestlers and an additional 25 participants who engaged in practices. Our club witnessed the unwavering support of passionate families. Throughout this season, we engaged in a total of 138 matches, each teeming with victories, pins, profound physical and emotional growth, and an abundance of invaluable lessons that resonate far beyond the mat. - The Asylum.
SHOUT OUT: TRI-CITY WRESTLING CLUB
The success of The Asylum has been truly remarkable and we owe a great deal of gratitude to the incredible support we have received. One individual in particular: The One and only Travis Ayers with Tri-City Wrestling Club played a pivotal role by graciously letting us affiliate with his club. This partnership not only allowed us to enter Washington Little Guy Wrestling League but also opened the doors for our club to practice alongside his team every Tuesday. Through this collaboration we believe it has displayed valuable core principals that reflects what makes wrestling and the wrestling community great.

TRI-CITY JUDO
We were also lucky enough to be able to partner with Robert Borisch at Tri City Judo who has not only let us use his space for wrestling practices, but also let us team together to bring his Judo kids into wrestling and our wrestling kids into judo! Thanks Robert Borisch and Tri-City Judo.

Coaches -
The Asylum was able to bring in 6 assistant coaches who have all brought excellent knowledge and truly helped shape our team. A huge thank you and shout out to Albert Ramos, Louis Haberling, Alex Prewett, Ricky Carrillo, Devin Boone, and Corey Carpenter for all of their time and commitment to our wrestlers.
Athletes -
We thank the dedicated athletes who participated and continue to participate. Wrestling is an emotional and tough sport. I can whole heartedly say our athletes are awesome kids all around and show up with great attitudes, personalities, kindness and most of all the willingness to learn. Not to say they don’t have fun and goof off a bit but so did we so let’s not hold that against them. ;) These athletes put in serious work and our season stats are just one way that shows it. Our practices are not easy (just ask any of the wrestlers from other locations), Competition isn’t always easy but they show up and continuously put in the time and work. This shows in every match and you all should be proud to see how far you come in a short amount of time. Feb/March. I encourage you to look back at what you couldn’t do at the beginning of the year and then see what you are doing now. This is how you measure your progress on and off the MAT. Keep up the good work and see ya at Freestyle.
Thanks for letting us be part of your journey to greatness.
Parents -
Your courage to take a leap with us and your support as we launch our first year of our program. This support has been incredible. We have enjoyed every second of this journey and are nothing short of impressed on the DRASTIC growth in skills, Strength, dedication, perseverance the kids have displayed. You all deserve credit too. I mean you literally have to deal with them every day, feed them, water them, (apparently keep bathing them *cough cough ringworm) Your belief in our mission to instill mental toughness, develop skills, and cultivate the right mindset for your kiddos, this faith has allowed us to continue keep pressing on with our wrestling vision.
Stay tuned everyone- we’re only growing 💪
Sincerely,
Treston and Rashel Devers, The Wrestling Asylum
